A post from Dad

Ben Here:
Sorry that we haven't posted much lately but the internet issue keeps us from posting a whole bunch. Daxter is doing much better. There are plans to do a CT scan to see if the chemo is working on the 23rd of November. We are very excited to get the results to that because we know the scans will show great things! I have started going back to work on a somewhat regular basis. We are still trying to make plans to go to New York for Sloan-Kettering hospital but are running into issues with the insurance. We know God will work it all out however. They are replacing his hickman on Monday the 1st of December. Thank you all for you comments and prayers.

God Bless,
Ben

Going Home :)

Ben Here:
Well were getting good news. They have told us on Saturday that he is doing so well with his blood count that he can start his outpatient chemo treament on monday.Meaning were going home :). The rules though will have to stay the same as they were at the hospial. We will be having to go back and forth like every other day from home too wichita to do it;but it is worth it. We will be going too New York during his 3 week recopperation from chemo. Seeing how well he is doing just made me break down and start crying with joy that the Lord is bringing him back to a healthy baby boy. I thank you all for your continuous prayer and comments and God bless you all. :)

Update from Dad

This is Ben updating today since I haven't in a while. Today, Daxter seems to be doing better. His blood count is finally starting to go up, and the doctors said that his infections are gone. Earlier I held him for a while and got him to smile and laugh. He also ate two full bottles in a row! I love this little guy and am looking forward to him getting better. I hope that he will use this experience to glorify God explaining how God got him through this and can get him through anything. Thank you all for your prayers.

praying for the best

Well, today has been very busy with doctors and nurses checking on Daxter. We got good news that they will be starting chemo on him at 7:30 pm instead of 5 or 6 on Sunday, which is a big blessing because we do not have to worry about waiting for it. I have been getting very excited about this news because I want him to get better as soon as he can. This a blessing. I pray that the chemo will do just fine and will work just like it is supposed to. They still have to make sure we know the risks. For instance, if he has kidney failure, which I pray he does not, they said that we would have to either go to Wesley Hospital  or Children's Mercy to have a dyalisis to fix it. Children's Mercy is in Kansas City which is three hours away, but it has experts who specialize in dyalisis and cancer therapy. The distance in a concern, but I'll just pray every day that it won't happen, and I just have a feeling it won't come to that. I just ask everyone to keep praying for him and never give up hope. God bless everyone and I love you all.

Jesus heal my son Daxter

Well this is just one of the biggest shocks of  my life and my wive's. I don't know what to say other than this is the hardest and saddest days for my wife, myself, and our families. I can't think of a time that I either haven't cried or wanted 2 cry very hard. Mostly because I have no control over this situation and seeing my little boy in so much pain just rips my heart out. Even though I have all of theses swing of emotions I know one of the most powerful person in this world that  is going to  make it all better and that is a loving and merciful God.I never would of dreamed in a million years that i would be where i am to day but im sure neither do the other families of cancer patients. This started as a small issue that just seemed like allergies that turned into the most deadliest issues that I can think of in the world. And I say this with tears down my face because it is hurts to think about it. I just pray every day for God's healing hand I and thanking him for being who he is my savior and my families savior; if he can save my soul he can save my little boys life and I have faith that he will.
